Form tabs
Use this form to add an entry to the Directory and record information about this contact. Only you and any others who have access to this information will see this entry in the Directory list.
This form has a body, like a message form, where you can store additional information.
Use the fields above the tabs to provide general information about the contact.


picture area (leftmost field)
Click the field, then paste a picture from the clipboard, if desired.
To paste the picture in a particular file format, choose Edit > Paste Special.
Title
The appropriate title, such as Mr. or Mrs.
Choose or type the title.



Voice/Fax tab
Use this tab to provide both business and personal phone, fax, and pager numbers.



Email/URL tab
Use this tab to provide both business and personal email addresses and URLs.
If the address is not yet in the Directory, type it, then press Tab.
If the address is in the Directory, enter it the same way you would address a message.



Address tab
Use this tab to provide both business and personal mailing addresses.
The Map button opens the map website for the address. You can specify which map application you want to use in your preferences.



Notes tab
Use this tab to provide additional information about the contact.
Use the large field to add freehand notes.


Quick name
The contact's name as you want it to appear in the Directory.
This field is automatically filled in when you enter the name information at the top of the form. You can change what FirstClass puts in this field.
Category
Any category that is useful to you.
You can organize addresses by category in list view (as we have organized documents in our help). In addition, categories are automatically color coded in index card view.
Birthday
Click the field to open a popup calendar.
To scroll months, click the single arrow buttons. Click the appropriate date, then click OK. You can also click Today to specify today's date.
Synchronize entry with handheld device

Select this checkbox to synchronize this contact with device 1 defined on the Handheld Devices tab of the Preferences form.

Select this checkbox to synchronize this contact with device 2.

Select this checkbox to synchronize this contact with device 3.

Select this checkbox to synchronize this contact with device 4.



Attachments tab
Use this tab to attach files to this contact. To attach a file, drag it to the field on this tab, or click Browse to search for the file. To attach a FirstClass object, drag it to the field.
