Chat Room
The "Private Chat" feature on FirstClass allows us to communicate at the same time (synchronously). For the pairs and small group assignments, you will probably want to chat with your partner(s) so you can more quickly and easily collaborate on your assignments.
Procedures:
(1) To chat live with any of us, instructors or participants, you will need to send an e-mail message and make an appointment so all of us will be on-line at the same time.
If you are using the client:
(2) To chat, click on "Collaborate" in the menu bar at the top of your screen.
Then drag your cursor down to the bottom of the list and click on "Private Chat."
If you are using the web:
(2) Click "Private Chat" on the left.
(3) Click "Invite" to see who is on-line.
(4) Click on the name and click "Select" to invite the person(s) on-line to chat with you.
(5) If you have technical problems, contact Kelly.
